The Worst Attendance

I found these photos on my Photo Folder > GMP (Grafindo Media Pratama--red.).

Look what I found:

Yes, I have to admit that I was almost always on the list: the worst attendance.

Hmm... The one who used to come several minutes before the agreed schedule, the one who used to be afraid to break any rule was turned into a rule breaker in the office. I came late almost every day, I refused to wear company's uniforms, etc.

The fact that I'm now in a new office makes me wonder why I was like that and why I didn't feel ashamed of being rule's breaker. The company was my comfort zone. And maybe it is because I could break the rules, LOL... :D.

Apart from that, it is now memorable.

The transition is never easy for me. I'm in this zone now. Hope can cope with it soon and elegantly.

Finally, let me quote this: "All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy, for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves." (Anatole France)

Farewell: The Witnesses

I Do Not Play Purple Dice

Nita Mulia, my editor friend, had just come back from her hometown. She goes there every week--on the weekend to be exact. But there was something different on last Monday: she bought me the purple thing from her hometown. An eraser. A dice-shaped eraser. And it is purple! Yup, my favorite color: that's the point.

Take a look to this new member of purple things of mine... together with the new small purple tumbler and also my purple Blackberry.

Love the highest "six"
The two purple

If God does not play dice, I also won't "play" this purple dice. Means that I won't use this purple dice eraser to erase mistakes my pencil makes. Rather, it will be one of those purple beloved stuffs of mine. :)

Cheating

Almost forget that I should post a photo here.

Since I didn't take any photo today, allow me to post this blue ocean. I took it when I crossed Sunda Strait, on the way home.

No matter how far I go from home... There will always a way or a reason to come home. And this blue ocean is a witness of me coming home.

A Piece of Memory

Yesterday, I suddenly missed Hamburg so much. Since I came back here in Indonesia, I almost never felt that way about Hamburg. What came to my mind when the longing struck was the moment when I sat by Alster after rain. The air was so fresh and wet.

This longing lead me tonight to open my diary two years ago and made me remember not only Alster. See what I found: a train ticket from Köln to Hamburg. It was dated October 13, 2009 and the ticket costed 54 euro plus 4 euro for seat reservation.

I spent about three days in Köln to visit my friends Frisca and Myra. It was one of the happiest moments for me--in the course of one year living in Germany--to be able to meet them and spend time together: sharing stories until 3 A.M. about what happened in one month we had been living there, throwing up in the middle of the night because of food--I guessed, walking along Rhein River, visiting Dom, taking photos under the rain, cooking instant noodles from Indonesia which we bought in Asian Shop and travelling by train leading to some cities in one day (Köln - Dusseldorf - Duisburg - Bonn - Köln), etc.

Here is the ticket:

There is a saying says: Good memories are our second chance at happiness. (Queen Elizabeth II)

This ticket is a piece of memory which gives me a second chance to recall happiness in those days living in far away country and thus be happy.
